OVERVIEW
A structured path from question to presentation.
The IAYR Fall Research Program is a four-week online research experience designed for high school students. Participants learn research methodology, work in interdisciplinary teams, receive mentorship, and present their work at the conclusion of the program.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
High school and gap-year students worldwide, regardless of prior research experience, school resources, or country. No institutional affiliation required.

Program structure
Week 0
Onboarding
Orientation, team formation, and introduction to the research process.
Week 1
Research Foundations
Guest lectures on methodology, literature review, and evaluating evidence.
Week 2
Investigation & Collaboration
Teams develop their research question with mentor guidance.
Week 3
Analysis & Development
Teams analyze findings and prepare their presentation.
Week 4
Research Presentation
Closing ceremony where teams present their work to an international audience.
Mentorship
Each team works with a mentor: a researcher, university student, or academic who guides them through the process.
Guest Lectures
Live sessions with researchers and academics cover methodology, ethics, and communicating findings.
Closing Ceremony
Every team presents its research to an international audience of peers, mentors, and guests.
